Protects workers in traffic, low light, and poor sight lines. It comes down to two things: the class of apparel (how much of the body is covered) and the level of retroreflection (how visible it is in the dark).

Each color is tested for chromaticity, colorfastness, retroreflection, and luminance. Orange is used on most of our FR clothing — widely recognized as a hazard identifier.
A second-degree burn is possible when unprotected skin is exposed to an arc flash above 1.2 cal/cm². Arc rating (ATPV) describes how a material performs against that energy.
